ACADEMIC GUIDANCE

Undergraduate / Graduate Programs:

Before the enrollment a consultant is determined for each student enrolling at the university by the head of the relevant department. The Consultancy begins with the student’s enrollment to the University, and continues until the students’ graduation or departure.

The consultant helps the student solve problems related to university life, course selection, and in the adding and deletion of courses. The Course registration process and add-delete-confirmation process is done with the cooperation of the student with the consultant. Renewal of Registration and course registration, approval is given by the consultant.

In the Renewal of Registration processes and course registration, approval is given by the consultant. Registration procedures which are not approved by the consultant aren’t valid. Consultants advise students on course selection, taking into account the student's academic goals and past achievements. However, students themselves are responsible for selection of courses and the procedures of the course registration. Consultants don’t have the authority to change, add / delete student's course registrations. Consultants may not approve the lessons selected by the students by taking into account the student’s achievement status and regulation rules.

In the cases where the consultant doesn’t approve the student’s course registration, he notifies the head of the relevant department with his reasons. The list of students who cannot complete the registration process is notified to the head of relevant the department by the consultant. The head of relevant department gives the final decision for probable disputes between students and consultants. A student trace file is kept in the relevant academic unit, to be able to actively carry out consulting.
