2909 PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELING AND GUIDENCE PhD

GENERAL INFORMATION
Pamukkale University Guidance and Psychological Counseling Doctorate Program started to provide education in the 2018-2019 academic year. Educational activities are carried out in a democratic and participatory environment, suitable for developments and changes in the field, with a dynamic staff consisting of academic staff who are experts in their fields.

Objective
The main purpose of education provided by Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department in Education Faculty, PAU is to raise Psychological Counselors who could think scientifically, never cease to do research, question, self improve and endorse a humanistic life perspective; always adhere professional ethical principles, rules and laws to deliver primary preventive and protective mental health services working in institutions such as justice, family and social services, education, health, industry, law enforcement and military.


Admission Requirements
First cycle degree, acceptable score on centralized graduate entrance exam, placement through local oral/written exam and certificate of English proficiency, have a master's degree.

Recognition of Prior Learning
A successful student who has completed at least one semester in another institution / department of the university or another post-graduate program of another higher education institution may be admitted to the post-graduate programs by horizontal transfer. The conditions for acceptance by horizontal transfer are determined by the Senate.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
All candidates have to complete at least 24 local credits (240 ECTS)with PhD thesis.

Access to Further Studies
A student graduated with a good PhD Degree may carry on an academic carrier as a lecturer or post doctorate researcher.
