Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the Master's programme in Sociology; 60 ECTS compulsory, elective and seminar course credits, 60 ECTS Specialisation course and Master's Thesis course credits, a total of 120 ECTS must be successfully completed and the academic average determined by the senate for graduation at the end of the education period must be met.

1To have knowledge about the basic concepts and facts of sociology
2To relate sociological knowledge, understanding and skills to concrete events
3To have more detailed information about the sub-branches of sociology
4To understand the relationship of sociology with other social sciences and to know and evaluate the differences between them
5Knowing classical and contemporary sociological theories and understanding the historical relationship between them
6To gain the ability to use appropriate sociological theories and approaches in the analysis of a sociological issue or problem
7Be aware of the methods and techniques used in a sociological research
8Having the ability to analyze and interpret data obtained in a sociological research
9Having the ability to prepare and implement a scientific research project
10To understand the interrelationship between social actors, institutions and society and to have knowledge about theoretical discussions related to this
11Demonstrate the ability to comprehend current sociological developments in their own work and have visual, written and oral presentation skills regarding this
12To understand the relationships between different social structures and cultures and to gain the ability to think critically and multifacetedly about this
