747 PRIVATE SECURITY AND PROTECTION

GENERAL INFORMATION
Private Security and Protection program started education in Pamukkale University Acıpayam Vocational School in 2014-2015 academic year, under the Department of Property Protection and Security. 4 lecturers who are experts in their fields work in our department. Graduates of this program receive the title of "Private Security Officer" with an associate degree in Private Security and Protection. Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can apply to undergraduate programs in related fields, provided that they get sufficient grades from the vertical transfer exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center.

Objective
The aim of the Private Security and Protection Program is to train qualified private security guards for the private security sector by providing an application-oriented education in a way that students have the basic skills of the profession and have a command of the legislation.


Admission Requirements
Admission and registration conditions; Candidates with a high school or equivalent school diploma are placed by OSYM in line with the relevant legislation of YÖK. As the legal grounds are given below, the student must submit a committee report from a full-fledged hospital showing that she is not physically and mentally ill, and a criminal record document during registration. In order to enroll in this program, it is necessary to meet the conditions specified in the clauses d, e, f, article 10 of the "Law on Private Security Services No. 5188" and article 18 of the "Regulation on the Implementation of the Law on Private Security Services No. 5188". For registration, in accordance with clause f of Article 10 of the Law on Private Security Services numbered 5188, "Not to be disabled with a physical or mental illness that may prevent the performance of the task" and "Private security guard work permit specified in Article 18 of the Regulation on the Implementation of the Law on Private Security Services No. 5188" In order to be able to be issued, a health report with the inscription "becomes a private security officer", obtained from a hospital or an adequate health institution, is required, including the conditions listed in Article 10 of the Law, as well as the following issues. a) Psychiatry: A psychiatric illness or personality disorder (Psychopathy); not be addicted to alcohol and drugs. b) Neurology: Not having a neurological disorder that may prevent her from performing the private security service. c) Eye: Not being blind or night blind.d) Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT): Not having hearing loss that may prevent her from performing private security service. Even if the periods specified in Article 53 of the Turkish Penal Code dated 26/9/2004 and numbered 5237 have expired or it has been decided to defer the announcement of the verdict, pursuant to subparagraph d of Article 10 of the "Law on Private Security Services No. 5188"; 1) Not to be sentenced to imprisonment for a period of one year or more for an intentionally committed crime. 2) Even if pardoned, crimes against the security of the State, the constitutional order and the functioning of this order, private life and the confidential sphere of life and sexual immunity, and crimes against drugs or stimulants, embezzlement, extortion, bribery, theft, fraud, forgery, abuse of trust, Not to be convicted of fraudulent bankruptcy, bid rigging, rigging the performance of the performance, laundering the assets arising from crime, smuggling and prostitution. 3) Not having an ongoing investigation or prosecution for crimes against the constitutional order and the functioning of this order, private life and the secret sphere of life, sexual immunity, and drugs or stimulants.

Graduation Requirements
Students must take and pass all the compulsory courses in the program. They can take elective courses besides compulsory courses. In order to obtain an associate degree in private security, students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (a total of 120 ECTS) and compulsory internships, and have a minimum overall grade point average of 2.25 out of 4.00.

Career Opportunties
Students who have graduated from the Private Security and Protection Program can be employed in the security departments of private security companies and private institutions operating in the province, especially in the province and all other settlements in Turkey. Moreover, they are employed as public officers in public institutions provided that they get enough points from KPSS exam.At the same time, in the procurement of officers made with KPSS-B, the gate of these institutions is open to the graduates of the program, as the condition of the associate degree is sought in the preferences of "security officer staff". Students who graduate from this program can work in official or private institutions in the region or they can operate and manage their own workplaces in order to complete their undergraduate studies.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Faculty-vocational school-school students who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar.

Access to Further Studies
Without examination the graduates of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty have the right to migrate 3rd class. In addition, DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue. If our students who graduated from the program are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam opened by OSYM; They have the right to make a vertical transfer to the emergency aid and disaster management department and social work department of our universities, which provide undergraduate education, and to graduate.
