Course Objective
The aims of the course are to recognize grave types of Lykos Valley and compare necropoleis of Lykos Valley cities. The objectives of the course are to have general information about necropolis excavations and able to make proper scientific explanation about grave types in necropoleis
Course Content
The cities of Lycus valley such as Hierapolis, Laodikeia, Colossae, Attouda, Trapezapolis, Tripolis, Thiounta have various and rich grave types. Different burial habits, mortuary practices, ceremonies and religious belief cultures of these cities will be studied.
