Course Objective
Communication with the child during the development process is one of the basic elements that determine the desired change. For this reason, it can be said that the quality of the teaching and learning process in formal and informal education, and the changes that it will create in responses, depend strongly on the theoretical beliefs and communication skills of researchers, teachers and parents. In this context, it is thought that it is beneficial for those concerned to have a proper understanding of "human" in relation to the relationships between communication, perception, psychological needs, learning and phenomenological field. For this reason it is aimed to gain proficiency in effective communication dynamics in this course.
Course Content
Some of the topics to be discussed in this course are given below. Basic concepts, conceptualization of human in communication process, communication theories, transactional analysis theory, effective communication skills, place and importance of needs, phenomenological field, beliefs, honesty and attitudes in communication, basic elements of communication, communication barriers, conflicts and conflict resolution approaches, designing research topics involving child, teacher and family communication.
