Course Objective The aim of this course is for students to learn the structure and functions of the cell, which is the basic building block of life, membrane transport, electrical properties of the membrane, intracellular and intercellular communication mechanisms, and genetic control of cell proliferation.
Course Content Information on the functional organization of the living body and the control of the internal environment, cell organelles and their functions, metabolism and energy cycles, transport through the cell membrane and cytoplasm, intracellular messengers, intercellular biochemical signals, energy changes in ion pumps, membrane potential, protein synthesis, genetic control of cell proliferation will be given.
