Course Objective
To provide information about coordination compounds and classification of properties.
Course Content
The nomencluture of coordination compounds, effective atomic number and the 18-electron rule, isomerism, the colors of coordination compounds, investigation of structure and binding properties in coordination compounds according to VBT, KAT and MOT, ligands, hybridization and geometry, jahn-teller effect and its applications, electronic transitions, charge transfer and to evaluate electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurement methods, magnetochemistry.
