Course Objective
• To explain the kinetics and crystallization processes of the volcanic rocks. • To demonstrate the chemical composition of minerals which occur in volcanic rocks using by phase diagrams. • To describe characters of volcanism using geochemical properties of volcanic rocks • Teaching radiometric age determination methods in volcanic rocks. • To determination characters of ore deposits bound to volcanic rocks.
Course Content
Magma occurence, kinetics and solidify, phase balance diagrams, geochemical properties of volcanic rocks, physical and dynamic volcanism, mixed textures and mechanism of volcanic rocks, alkaline magmatism and alkaline volcanic rocks, methods used in determinating radiometric age, using geochemical data, hydrothermal processes, ore deposits bound to volcanic rocks.
