Course Objective
Able to give information about the new improvements in earthquake engineering, to explain and to emphasize the seismicity of Turkey, to explain the earthquake parameters which are important from civil engineering aspects.
Course Content
Earthquake movement, vibration of structures under earthquakes, elestic and inelastic response spectrum, earthquake response of MDOF structures, earthquake resistant design of buildings, lessons from recent earthquakes. .
