Course Objective
The aim of the course is to teach the basic concepts related to the ductile design of steel structures.
Course Content
Introduction, Structural Steel, Plastic Behavior, Concepts of Plastic Analysis, Systematic methods of Plastic Analysis, Applications of Plastic Analysis (Moment Redistribution Design Method, Capacity Design, Push-Over Analysis, Seismic Design Using Plastic Analysis Reference ), Design of Ductile Braced Frames, Design of Ductile Moment-Resisting Frames, Limit State Philosophy in Seismic Design Provisions. .
