Course Objective
The aim of this lecture is give information on properties of bacteriophages, classifications, phage-bacterial interactions and factors, phage problems in food industry and applications to prevent phage infections.
Course Content
General properties of viruses, basic structures of bacteriophages, reproductive cycles of bacteriophages, classification and nomenclature of bacteriophages, affecting factors of relations between bacteria and bacteriophages, the defects of bacteriophages and defense programs from bacteriophages in the food technology .
