Course Objective Students who completed this course are able to develop scientific inquiries, analyze the results of experiments/computational experiments systematically, learn how they present their research results consistently, and identify and solve ethical issues.
Course Content Createting your own experiments to answer scientific questions. Design of experiments to reduce systematic and random errors and use statistics to interpret the results. Use probes and computers to gather and analyze data. Treat human subjects in an ethical fashion. Code of ethics. Identifying ethical issues and solving them. Risk, safety and accidents in research laboratories, application of safe laboratory procedures. Find and read articles in the scientific literature. Create mathematical models of scientific phenomena. Write scientific papers. Give oral presentations of scientific work.
