Course Objective The aim of this course is to identify violence in the family and social area, to prevent violence and to raise awareness about violence in the protection of public health.
Course Content This course includes concepts and definitions of violence, the situation of violence in the world and in Turkey, theories explaining the formation of violence, the relationship between gender inequality and violence, culture and violence, the effects of violence in the family and society, groups at risk in terms of violence, prevention of violence, early diagnosis of violence, international and national laws on the prevention of violence, methods of combating violence.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

7Can explain the importance of appropriate intervention/orientation approaches for individuals who are exposed to violence and who are at risk.
