Course Objective The aim of the lecture to understand knowledge of the molecular mechanisms of cancer At the end of this lecture, students are expected to have knowledge of cell cycle and its regulation, molecular mechanisms of carsinogenesis, morphological characteristics of cancer cells at PhD level and competence to analyze the knowledge at research area .
Course Content Cell cycle, celular diferantiation, apoptosis, cell cycle phase check points and regulation, tumorigenesis, oncogenes and tumor supressor genes, protooncogenes and oncogenes, How does oncogenes activation in cancer biology Classification of oncogenes: growth factors, tyrosine kinase receptors, nonreceptors tyrosine kineases, ser/thr kinases, nuclear transcription factors, DNA repair mechanisms and cancer, chemical carcinogens and mutations, marker chromosomes for specific cancer type, chromoseome translocation and cancer. .
