Course Objective	To learn basic principles and methodology of clinical cytogenetics.This course is aimed at the beginner in cytogenetics,providing protocols helpful at the work-bench as well as to those collagues already working in this field and looking for some technical hits.
Course Content	Cell, tissue culture techniques, including lymphocytes from periferic blood and bone marrow, amniotic, corion villus cell and solid tissue culture, staining and banding methods for chromosome identification, Fluorescent insitu hybridisation technique, karyotyping and microscopic evaluation, nomenclature in cytogenetics, identification of abnormal chromosomes .
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Explains the basic principles and methodologies of clinical cytogenetics
2	Acquires skills to work independently, successfully and safely in cytogenetics and molecular cytogenetics laboratories.
3	Interpret the results of laboratory tests.
4	Acquire the basic skills required to conduct experimental work in the laboratory in the field of cytogenetics.
