Course Objective To learn structures and functions of nucleic acids, Central dogma, and to gain fundamental principles of general molecular biology
Course Content Structure of nucleic acids; DNA, RNA., synthesis of DNA in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, transfer of genetic knowledge in bacteria, gene and genomic organisation, transcription and control mechanisms in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, protein synthesis, mutagens and mutations and DNA repair mechanisms. .
