Course Objective To have knowledge of general pharmacology and to understand the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of drugs.
Course Content Basic Concepts in Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Properties, Autonomic, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Immune and Central Nervous System Pharmacology, Anti-inflammatory Drugs, Disease-Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs (DMARDs), Centrally Acting Muscle Relaxants, Opioid analgesics, Drugs Affecting Mineral Homeostasis in Bones Adrenocorticosteroids, Vitamins, Food Supplements, Herbal Medicines, Common Drug Side Effects and Related Drugs

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To master the basic concepts in the field of pharmacology.
2Knows the drugs affecting the respiratory system. Takes the necessary precautions.
3To have knowledge in the field of pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic effect profiles, mechanisms of action, indications, side effect profiles and drug interactions of drugs.
4To know the mechanisms of action, side effect profiles and contraindications of the drugs in the treatment of pain and inflammation.
5To have knowledge about vitamins, minerals, food supplements, herbal treatment approaches.
