Course Objective In this course students will learn the core concepts of Rasch Measurement philosophy and techniques of item response theory (IRT) in scale development and psychometric analysis of measurement instruments.
Course Content Guttman scales, Rasch measurement models and their philosophy, item characteristics curves, measurement invariance, dichotomous and polytomous item response theory models
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1Demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles and models within Rasch models and Item Response Theory (IRT)
2Understand how IRT is used in organizational and behavioral sciences to conduct individual-level and population-level inference
3Learn the differences among the Rasch Measurement, Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory perspectives
