Course Objective The mail goal of this course is to acquaint students with the fundamental vocabulary and logic of psychometrics theory which deals with measurement of individual, social and behavioral traits. It is also aimed to familiarize students with the applications of measurement in organizational and social settings.
Course Content The role of measurement in social and behavioral science, historical origins of psychometrics, review of statistical concepts, the meaning of latent variable and introduction to latent variable models, reliability, validity, guidelines in scale development, Rasch measurement and item response theory
