Course Objective The aim of this course is to examine the definition, scope and history of discourse analysis, and the basic concepts of discourse analysis.
Course Content Basic concepts such as definition, scope and history of Discourse Analysis, form-function, sentence-word, product-process, context-intersection, coherence, purposefulness, acceptability, informativeness, contingency, intertextuality in discourse analysis; topics such as speech theory, speech analysis, discourse and society, discourse and language teaching.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
