Course Objective This course aims to introduce scientific research geared to how children acquire their first language (L1) and how both children and adults acquire a second/foreign language (L2). The course therefore aims to familiarize students with the main methods, theories, and substantive findings in the fields of first language acquisition (FLA) and second language acquisition (SLA).
Course Content In this course students become conversant with scientific research geared to how children acquire their first language (L1) and how both children and adults acquire a second/foreign language (L2). Students are also familiarized with the main methods, theories, and substantive findings in the fields of first language acquisition (FLA) and second language acquisition (SLA).
