Course Objective To discuss new thinking and theoretical development agendas that focus on their social insights in creating, developing, protecting and maintaining open spaces. It aims to integrate the theoretical development dimension and the social, spatial and material dimensions of human-environment interactions. Social oriented approaches; exploring the practical applications of theoretical structures, emphasizing the need for accessible and inclusive forms of communication.
Course Content The course adopts open space design as a process in which physical space and social process are produced together, focusing on phenomena such as 'idea' 'communication' and 'participation', while investigating what roles design can play in 'production / reproduction of space.
