Course Objective To describe the physiological reactions occurring in horticulture.
Course Content Water uptake mechanism of plants, diffusion and osmosis events, water loss in plants and the factors affecting, water stress, resistance to drought and excessive moisture, photosynthesis, respiration, and factors affecting. The roles of growth regulators in events such as seed germination, plant development, flower bud formation and fruit set, rest, periodicity, and parthenocarpy.
