Course Objective To use Digital Signal Processor effectively on power electronics circuits and motor control applications, to learn advanced technology in control systems.
Course Content Power electronics and switched-mode drive applications/ Digital control and digital PWM generation/ Digital Signal Processing/ TMS320F2812 DSP and software development/ PWM generation, timer and ADC interrupts via DSP and speed encoders for electrical machines/ DSP based Converters, inverters/ DSP based scalar and vector control methods for electrical machines.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students will know and define power electronics drives.
2Students will comprehend digital signal processing principles.
3Students will define rules and control principles of any digital system.
4Students will design and implement a digital control system.
5Students will use a DSP on the various power converter systems for desired control outputs.
6Students will use intelligent techniques on the control systems via DSP.
