Course Objective
The aim of this course is to acquire knowledge about the concepts related to endocrinology nursing, to know the primary, secondary and inverse nursing responsibilities of endocrine system diseases, to research and develop the resources to maintain and upgrade care together with care principles for long term care need of endocrine chronic patient knowledge and behavior.
Course Content
Introduction to endocrine system anatomy and physiology endocrine nursing, Hypothalamus and pituitary functions and dysfunctions Rear pituitary disorders, Hormones and diseases of posterior pituitary hormones, Preliminary Pituitary hormones hormones and diseases STH: Function and dysfunctions, TSH: thyroid diseases and nursing care, ACTH: Nursing management in adrenal axis and diseases, Adrenal diseases and nursing management, Other anterior hypophyseal diseases, Pancreas diseases: DM and Nursing management - 1, Pancreas diseases: DM and Nursing management - 2, Nursing management in obesity and metabolic syndrome, Metabolic bone diseases, Examination of nursing researches in the field of endocrine nursing,
