COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The primary aim is to gain the ability to evaluate campaigns professionally designed by communication experts to influence voters' political thoughts and, in particular, their voting preferences. In addition, it is aimed to gain a holistic perspective in terms of the media-politics-communication relationship by examining the relationship between macro-level political communication studies and new communication technologies and its reflections on society through issues such as populism, polarization, manipulation and values.
Course Content The relationship between politics and political communication, political rhetoric, voter preference theories, political campaigning, populism, polarization, political manipulation, political advertising, candidate debates.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
