Course Objective The aim of the course is to evaluate the geopolitical, geoeconomic and geostrategic structure of the Eurasian region, to give basic information about the Geopolitics of Eurasia;
Course Content What is Eurasia and how can it be defined in the light of basic geopolitical theories and approaches? Definition of Eurasian geography, evaluation of its borders and importance; Geopolitics of Eurasia and Theories of Geopolitics of Eurasia will be examined. The history, peoples, political characteristics, ethnic structures, economies and independence processes of the Turkish Republics in Eurasia; instability, threats and opportunities in Eurasia; conflicts and crises that change the geopolitical balances in Eurasia; the natural resources of Eurasia, energy resources and the impact of energy lines on the regional economy, politics and society will be discussed.
