Course Objective
In this course, which is planned to deal comprehensively with the political, legal, economic, social and cultural dimensions of the migration phenomenon, to inform the students about migration policies in Turkey and the world with theoretical approaches in the field, to enable them to comprehend different migration policies and the effects of these policies on migrants, to have an idea about current migration researches and finally to ensure that they develop their field experiences about the migration phenomenon by conducting a field research.
Course Content
To learn the basic concepts of migration and migration policies, the history of migration from the first migration movements to the present day; to give information about migration policies in Turkey and the world, to give an idea about current migration research, the place of migrants in the labour market; today's refugee crisis and the future of migration.
