Course Objective Examination and evaluation of EIA reports as a geographer
Course Content The concept and history of EIA, what is it and what is not? Framework and stages of EIA study; determination and evaluation of environmental impacts in different environments in terms of water environment, atmospheric environment, noise, biological environment, cultural environment, socio-economic environment. EIA methods; overlay method, checklist methods, interaction matrices, system diagrams, estimation methods and general evaluation. EIA regulation. Examination and evaluation of sample EIA reports.
