To be able to recognise the wetlands in Turkey and to understand the importance of these areas for living ecosystems, environment and life and to be able to explain the threats faced by the main wetlands and the necessary precautions to be taken.
Course Content
Introduction of the main wetlands, The dangers faced by wetlands and the necessary measures to be taken, International conventions on the protection of wetlands and marshes, Ramsar Convention, The benefits of wetlands and marshes, Ecological Features, Global warming and wetlands, Wetlands in Turkey, Protected wetlands, Plant and animal species in wetlands and marshes, Wetlands, reeds and marshes degradation and necessary measures to be taken
