Course Objective To analyze the studies on tourism geography.
Course Content Basic concepts of tourism geography; tourism-geography relationship; development history of tourism, demands and motives of tourism. Investigation of factors affecting the development of world tourism, natural and cultural attractions and supply elements-transportation and accommodation; the importance of organization in tourism; Analyzing the world's main tourism places, their features, development and problems. Economic, socio-cultural and environmental effects of tourism; tourism development policies and planning; The main features of the world tourism movement and the study of regional patterns. Development of tourism in Turkey, developments in supply elements and analysis of numerical increases. Tourism organizations and tourism-related organizations; Examining Turkey's main tourism resources and areas, discussing their problems; Examining the main characteristics of domestic and foreign tourism in Turkey.
