Course Objective Society, social phenomena and events and social relations are discussed in a scientific framework. It is aimed that the students see the society from this perspective and gain a sociological perspective.
Course Content The sociology course tells the students the general laws of the society they are members of, their law-like regularities, trends, and cause-effect relationships between social phenomena.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Expresses the emergence, subject and purpose of social science; lists the process of science, scientific knowledge and scientific method.
2List the founders of sociology and the values they defended.
3Distinguish between social system, identity, socialization, role, status, groups, masses, categories, community and society. Determines the relationship between culture and society.
4Recognizes social institutions and determines the effects of these institutions on individuals.
5Analyzes the concepts of social stratification and class by associating them with each other.
