COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The basic principles of growth and development and its relationship to teach orthodontics; normal occlusion and evaluate stogmatognatik system; orthodontic anomalies and teach their etiology.
Course Content The purpose and limits of growth and the basic principles of development, growth and development of craniofacial structures, the relationship of growth and development with orthodontics, dental arches and occlusion development, stomotognatik system, orthodontics diagnosis and diagnostic tools, the etiology of orthodontic anomalies, sagittal, vertical and transversal orthodontic anomalies in direction , congenital anomalies, orthodontic diagnosis, medical history and clinical evaluation, determination of cephalometric points.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students who complete this course successfully;explain the basic principles of growth and development and the growth and development of craniofacial structures, be able to tell you how to develop dental arches and occlusion, Define the different types of malocclusions and classify them according to their etiology, define the etiology of malocclusions, understand the effects on dentofacial structures of etiologic factors.
