COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree
Course Type Compulsory
Course Objective To teach that research is an integral whole of biostatistics. It is an indispensable element of biostatistics in health care, and an example of an organ that helps health personnel to see, hear, sense and make decisions. To teach which biostatistical method can be applied to what problems and how to interpret the results. The purpose is to explain the importance and utilization of biostatistics in health sciences, from which aspects a region should be studied before health service is brought to that region and which biostatical methods should be calculated in the planning of the phases of organization, execution and rearrangement of health services.
Course Content Descriptions, Health services and biostatistics, Frequency distributions and descriptive measures, Table and graphic types, Normal distribution, Significance tests, Parametric significance tests, Nonparametric significance tests, Correlation and regression analysis. The purpose is to explain the importance and utilization of biostatistics in health sciences, from which aspects a region should be studied before health service is brought to that region and which biostatical methods should be calculated in the planning of the phases of organization, execution and rearrangement of health services.
