COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To have a grasp of advance information about feudalism and mode of production in Ottoman society, the conditions in which capitalism emerged and impacts of its extension, the main social and political changes that occurred in Europe and Ottoman Empire between the periods of French Revolution and World War I, the emergence of new balances of power in Europe and the place of Ottoman State in this balance.
Course Content Agrarian societies, the globalization of civilization, the reasons for the rise of West and Western sovereignty, the concepts of dominant power and balance of power, Ottoman State, The Age of Revolutions, the Ottoman Renaissance, Industrial Revolution and its consequences, World War I.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

1Grasp of the main concepts and ideas related with Political History
2Analyzes the information and ideas about current subjects and events with their historical, social and cultural aspects.
3As directed to the problems related to political history, it makes suggestions which drive from facts and researches.
4Cite thoughts, problems and the methods of solutions about the subjects related to political history.
5As especially in international conflicts, taking the responsibility it generates solutions to unexpected complex circumstances that can be confronted with in applications within its field, develops alternatives of consensus.
