Course Objective The development of new media opportunities and their easy sharing have made it necessary to use the moving image in art education both as an artistic form and as a material supporting the process. Today, millions of videos are shared. In this sense, the students are aimed to have information about qualified film and video productions and to produce content in the extent of possibilities.
Course Content Introduction to Film and video production course contains (1) the history of the moving image; the birth and pioneers of cinema, the development of cinematography, (2) TV production and video broadcasting, (3) the development of film art and cinema industry, cult works in cinema, (4) the use of video in the art environment; video sculptures and installations, guerrilla video, feminist video works, (5) live video applications and sharing today, (6) Film production stages, script writing, production team, director, camera use techniques; exposure, light and lighting, color temperature, composition, camera angles and shooting scales etc. Artistic project based, individual or collective video production is realized. The productions are criticized.
