Course Objective This course aims to provide the necessary equipment for argumentation and persuasion in order to design a convincing political communication campaign.
Course Content Concepts of Political Persuasion, Argument and Argumentation. Classical Backgrounds of Argumentation: Aristotle’s Logic, Rhetorical Approach, Dialectical Approach. Post-clasical Backgrounds of Argumentation: Toulmin’s Model of Argumentation, The Pragma-Dialectic Theory of Argumentation, The New Rhetoric. Argumentation Schemes: Quasi-logical Argumentation, Argumentation Based on the Structure of Reality, Argumentation Establishing the Structure of Reality, Argumentation Based on the Process of Dissociation. Political Argumentation Analysis.
