Course Objective This course provides the fundamental concepts of weldability of non ferrous materials, the weldability of aluminum, copper, nickel, magnesium, zinc coated steels, titanium, beryllium, tantalum, zirconium, molybdenum and their alloys. The course also includes the joint techniques of these materials, the joining techniques of ceramic and composite materials and the microhardness and microstructural characterization of weld region
Course Content Welding methodologies and solidification of the weld seam of events occurring, non-ferrous materials used in the industry, features, and assembly techniques, welding aluminum and aluminum alloys, copper and alloys, magnesium and alloys, titanium and alloys, nickel and its alloys, other non-ferrous welding, plastics welding.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To be able to distinguish the factors affected on the weldability of nonferrous materials according to welding fundamentals
2To be able to categorize the fundamental concepts and the factors affected on of the weldability of aluminum, copper and their alloys
3To be able plan how can welded by the different welding methods, preheat and post heat treatments.
4To be able to categorize the factors affected on the weldability of nickel, magnesium, titanium, beryllium, tantalum, zirconium, molybdenum and their alloys.
