Course Objective To describe main operations before pre-concentration of minerals in a particularly and systematic form.
Course Content Structure and basic concepts of minerals in mineral processing, mineral properties, the liberalization of grain, sizing techniques, Phase separation techniques, crushing, grinding, screening, classification. Enrichment, the difference in specific gravity concentration, magnetic and electrostatic separation enrichment, chemical concentration, flotation, separation of solids from fluids; thickening, filtration. Gas cleaning, filters, dust chambers, washing towers, cyclones, electrostatic precipitators.
