Course Objective	Determining the potential production of natural stones in Türkiye. Teaching the production techniques in dimension stone quarries. Introduction into dimension stone market. Teaching marble cutting techniques. Teaching the exploration and licence legislations for natural Stones.
Course Content	Introduction to Marble technology. The history and explanation of natural stones. Classification of marbles. Physical and mechanical properties of natural stones. Determining the location of a natural stone quarry. Production and processing methods of natural stones. Quality assessment in dimension stone production. Turkish natural stones industry. Global natural stone market. The economics of natural stones.
