Course Objective Course of the basic principles of mineralogy, igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, aims to introduce the students.
Course Content Mineral nomenclature, physical properties of minerals, mineral chemistry, some of the major rock-forming minerals and mineral identification, physical properties of magma, magmatic rocks, texture, named igneous rocks, pyroclastic rocks, sedimentary rocks, diagenesis, composition and texture of sedimentary rocks, metamorphic rocks are named, metamorphism types of local metamorphism, regional metamorphism.
