Course Objective The main obcejtives of this lesson are to teach that the importance of nutrition and the relations between biochemical metabolism and/or nutrition. Morever, the nutrition derived biochemical diseases will be also discussed in this lesson.
Course Content Daily requirement of nutrition, energy contents of each nutrient, basic energy terms. Proteins, carbohydrates, lipids. Hunger metabolism (liver, lipid tissue, sceletal muscles and brain). Vitamins and their biomedical importance. Congenital metabolism disorders. Malnutrition and childhood malnutrition rutines. Paramters in nutrition and malnutrition situations.
