Course Objective This is an introductory study of fluid mechanics for engineering majors. The conservation principles, which form the basis of the study of fluid mechanics, will be introduced and used to develop methods of analysis for relatively simple flow systems.
Course Content Definition of fluid and its properties, fluid statics, pressure and its measurement, fluid kinematics, physical laws governing fluid flow, dimensional analysis and modeling, internal pipe flow and pump selection, external flow, lift and drag
