Course Objective The mechanical engineering students learn to how and where will use the engineering materials
Course Content Heat treatments of steels. Annealing and strengthen methods of steels. Principles of designation and numbering systems of steels, cast irons, Aluminium and copper in EN standarts. Classification of steels. Structure steels for general purpose. General structure steels, Tempering steels. Case hardening steels. Nitriding steels. Free cutting steels. Stainless steels. Tool steels. Hadfield, Maraging, Hardox and Weldox steels. Cast irons . Aluminium, copper and their using areas.
