Course Objective The main aims of this course are the examination of steps taken to ensure sustainable development at the global, regional, urban and local levels, the identification of the basic indicators and principles of sustainable development, the study of the basic dimensions of sustainable development and the implementation of studies to discuss the effects on urban area.
Course Content Sustainability, introduction of sustainable development and sustainability development concepts, introduction of the concept of smart city, transfer of smart city components, study of the basic dimensions of sustainable development, research of the main indicators of sustainable development, linking sustainability and global climate change, linking sustainability and disaster management, linking sustainability and technological innovations, studying examples of sustainable development at the regional and urban level, discussion of successful and unsuccessful application examples.
