Course Objective Totally 13 regional development projects have been prepared and implemented between the years 1923 – 2023. The main aims of this course are the examination of effects of these projects at the national, regional, urban and local scales, the examination of the effects of regional development projects on regions and cities from a social, economic and environmental aspects, the examination of the study of qualitative and quantitative information on the elimination of regional inequalities, the development of future forecasts for the present and tomorrow of urban area, the deconstruction of the relationship of regional development strategies with the city, the execution of studies in order to eliminate the failures observed in the planning process and the effects of development policies on urban planning processes.
Course Content Explaning the concepts of regional development and development, establishing its relationship with regional planning, establishing its relationship with the concept of regional inequality, studying example 13 regional development projects, studying their regional and urban effects, studying the Planned Period in detail and the Planned Development Period, revealing the social, environmental and economic effects of implemented projects with statistics, studying spatial and non-spatial reflections.
