The purpose of this course is identifying and interpretting new destinations and different sources which can create travel demand and creating new travel products, examining sustainable tourism trend studies.
Course Content
Tourism and Destination Management (Principles, Rules, Tendencies And Policies); The Phases of Tourism Development; Economic Effects (Tourism and Currency Incomes, Taxes Applied in Tourism, Price-Tourism Relationship, Tourist Types); Enviromental Effects (Eco-System, Eco-Tourism, The Factors Effecting Enviroment in Developed and Developing Countries); Social Effects (Culture and Tourism, Socio-Cultural Effects); Public Corporations and Regional Enterprises; The Role of Public Sector on the Development of Tourism; Attitudes of Tourist and Destination Choices; Tourism Marketing; Image Development; The Problems Met in Destination Management; Preservation of Natural and Cultural Values: Case Studies; Destination Management in Turkey.
