Course Objective The aim of course is to introduce the basic principles of fiber optics and an infrastructure based on fiber optic communication systems.
Course Content Structure and Types of Optical Fiber: Optical Fiber Transmission Structures, Theory of Radiation. Transmission Characteristics of Optical Fibers: Attenuation, Dispersion, Mode Analysis, Polarity. Optical Fiber Cables and Measurements: Fiber materials, Fiber Cables, Production Techniques and Connection Types, Optical Measurements, Introduction to fiber-optic systems.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
