Course Objective Teaching of circuit synthesis, linearity and time invariance. Understanding of passive circuit synthesis. Teaching of design and analysis of current-mode and voltage-mode filters. Teaching of operating principals of current and voltage followers. Inverter and negative impedance converter as well as teaching of analysis of circuits containing these active devices. Teaching of current conveyors and other active components together with circuits including these active elements.
Course Content Introduction to circuit synthesis. Linearity and time invariance. Passive circuit synthesis. One port circuit synthesis. Two port circuit synthesis. First-order filters. Second-order filters. High-order filters. Voltage and current followers. Inverters. Negative impedance converter. Current conveyors. Four terminal floating nullor. Current feedback operational amplifier. Current differencing buffered amplifier and others.
